MLK Day of Service — Renewing Community Spirit

Join the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA as we celebrate MLK Day of Service by coming together to Renew Community Spirit through hands-on volunteer projects that strengthen our Y and uplift our Pearland community.

Dr. King reminded us that “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
On this day, we honor that call by working side-by-side to create lasting impact right here at home.

What We’ll Be Doing

Volunteers will support several beautification and improvement initiatives around our YMCA campus, including:

• Walking track beautification

• Clearing wooded areas for our new disc golf course

• Sports field maintenance

• Cleaning and refreshing fitness equipment

• Outdoor and garden area upkeep

Your service ensures we meet commitments made to our donors and partners while helping us keep our spaces welcoming and mission-driven.

Who Can Participate?

All ages welcome!
Children 12 & under must volunteer with a parent/guardian.

What to Bring

• Work gloves

• Closed-toe shoes

• Water bottle

• A positive spirit of service!

Where to Meet

Check-in begins at 10:00 AM in the YMCA lobby.
